Genom att ge bort saker gratis istället för att slänga dem i komprimatorn kan företag använda Bjussa.se tjänsten som ett led i miljöarbetet.
Anpassning till klimatförändringarna kräver långsiktiga lösningar som är svåra att uppnå utan stora ekonomiska medel och rätt riktade sociala insatser. Utan att här och nu fördjupa mig mer i bakgrunden till hungerkatastrofen på Afrikas horn funderar jag på en produkt jag hörde talas om förra sommaren på Rework the World: Sanitetspåsen Peepoo.
I januari 2010 testade Oxfam Peepooples toalettpåse i Haiti för att se om sanitära problem kan lösas effektivt i nödsituationer där tusentals människor saknar vatten och sanitet, samt sjukdomar lätt sprids.
Jag har inte hört något om Peepoo på länge. Undrar om de finns på plats i östra Afrika idag?

I was invited as environmental specialist to the 22nd World Scout Jamboree to run my workshop “Pimp my Trash” in the Global Development Village.
Throughout the week numerous of young people got the chance to discuss the meaning behind the words Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. But the best part for the scouts was to practice “reuse” – by trashing jamboree waste and creating new stuff from it.
It was exciting to run my workshop next to big organisations such as FAO, Greenpeace, Solafrica, Friends of the Earth etc. in the Global Development Village.
The village hosted about 4000 young participants each day and the themes of the workshops were; Environment and Sustainability, Human rights, Peace, Health and Entrepreneurship.
